Luna the cat has expressed her love for her family since she joined them in September 2019. Wanting to protect them, she keeps following them around even when they go outside. When it was time for her kid siblings to go to school, she’d follow them and even sneak into the school grounds!

Unlike other cats, Luna loves going on walks with her family and even leads the way! She has since been known to the locals who think their walks are “the cutest thing they’ve ever seen,” said her mom, Heather Lucier.

In 2020, Luna would follow them whenever they picked up the kids’ free school lunches. She would always keep watch over them. Since she was used to everyone being at home, she wanted to make sure they were safe whenever they went outside.

So when her kid siblings went back to attending in-person classes, Luna would walk them there, which was only right around the corner.

Everyone at the school is now familiar with Luna, who soon started sneaking inside. But since everyone knows her, she would just get “reported” to her mom.

Heather shared, “When I realized it was the front office, I freaked out, thinking one of my kids was injured or sick. Thankfully they called to say, ‘While I love Luna and have no problem with her hanging out … she’s trying to follow people into the school.’”

“I do appreciate the fact that the person who called was laughing and told me that Luna was so sweet and not a problem … other than trying to sneak into the school,” she said.

Heather quickly ran over to pick up Luna before she made it inside the doors. When she called the sneaky cat over, she quickly came running toward her and meowed happily, like nothing unusual happened.

When Luna’s siblings came home from school, they learned about Luna’s adventure and absolutely loved it.

Heather shared, “My son laughed while saying he wished she’d come to his class because his class has a board of class pets, and it’d be cool to just bring Luna into the classroom because that was so much cooler than a picture.”

Perhaps sneaky Luna may be able to get inside one day.
