Clingy Dog Can’t Stop Licking Hairless Sister [Video]

Sasha, a 9-year-old rescue pittie, has been described as a very anxious, awkward dog by her mom, Mary Lynn Cristiano. She is also quite clingy, but only to her favorite humans, so this has made her mom worry that she might never be able to befriend another dog.

Thankfully, Sasha was open to having new siblings. When Mary brought home two puppies, Biagio and Donatella, Sasha gradually went from tolerating them to getting especially close to them within two weeks.

“I knew it would be challenging, but I didn’t think it would be impossible,” Mary shared. “I didn’t think they’d be as close as they are. The girls are a lot closer.”

Sasha has always been a compulsive licker — she tends to lick her humans’ feet for several minutes that they can’t tolerate it for too long.

When she started giving her new sister Donatella, an almost entirely hairless Xoloitzcuintli, a tongue bath, she seemed to have gotten obsessed with it! It must have something to do with Donatella’s skin texture.

And unlike their humans, Donatella doesn’t mind one bit!

“They’re both happy now,” said Mary. “Sasha has someone to lick and the puppy is falling asleep to it.”

It’s like a daily spa session for the two sisters. Sasha relieves her anxiety with the licking, and Donatella gets a long bath and massage.

The sisters end up taking the whole couch or bed during their spa sessions.

Mary was worried that the awkward Sasha may not have friends, but her new siblings opened up her heart.

Sasha used to not enjoy playing with toys or other dogs. But with her siblings, “all of a sudden she loves chew toys, she loves tennis balls, she loves to wrestle with them. It’s so funny,” Mary shared.

Sasha loves spending time with her puppy siblings even at times when they “chew her face, pull her tail and jump all over her. It’s the strangest thing, but she really likes them.”

Keep up with Sasha and her family on Instagram.
