• Maverick the dog has just found a perfect stick that he would love to bring home.
• His mom is not helping him get the stick inside the car and tells him to figure it out.
• Maverick’s first attempt lands the stick on the ground but he perseveres and maneuvers the stick inside the car the second time around.

Sticks are probably a dog’s most important toy.  Especially if he grew up playing fetch with it.  They spend endless hours just having fun with sticks.  There is something about looking for the perfect stick and proudly carrying it in their mouth.

So, when a Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix dog named Maverick, found a long branch, he just could not leave it behind.  He just has to bring it home.

And his mom, TikTok user kelpysnothome tells him to find a way to get it inside their vehicle.  “Yeah, figure that out,” she says while opening the car door. 

She captures how Maverick tried until he succeeded.

In the video, when Maverick reaches the door, he immediately goes inside with the stick in his mouth.  But the stick catches on the door and it falls down.  Not to be discouraged, Maverick picks the stick up again close to one end.  With a bit of maneuvering, he manages to carry the branch parallel to his body. And with a tilt of his head, he climbs into the car and the stick goes in without a glitch.

What a smart move, Maverick!

Now we are wondering how he would get it inside their house.  On the other hand, with Maverick’s problem-solving skills, that would not be a problem.
