When you blend well in a household with different species, you end up following their footsteps. You learn how to do things their way and even eat the food that they feast on! Birds know how to meow or bark, and kittens learn how to play fetch, among other things. It comes with being a member of one family.

Bethany and Samantha Castiller think that their adopted 3-year-old pitbull Mako, must have been raised with cats before he came to them. This was apparent the moment that they brought him home when he sniffed at their cats and did not show any fear.

Through time, he began to show his acquired feline qualities. Mako perches on high places like his feline siblings. One video, which has earned 6.5 million views, captured him displaying the soft and smooth approach of cats as he leaps to the kitchen counter.

There’s even one place that is no longer exclusive to cats — the top of the refrigerator. You can find Mako standing guard at the summit to make sure he captures whoever does midnight forages for snacks.

Aside from the love for elevated nooks, his mom Bethany says that Mako also enjoys playing with cat toys and eating cat food, but thankfully, not the meowing part. He still maintains the dog quality of barking. But his mom finds this “overall really weird little dude” cute.

Thanks to Mako’s mom and dad for introducing him correctly to his cat siblings, he peacefully coexists with them. He has become such a copycat that 1.8 million TikTok followers eagerly await his feline adventures.

Way to go, Mako!
