It’s another day of rescue operations for the firefighters of Orlando, Florida. This time, they saved eight ducklings who were trapped in a storm drain. They also made sure to wait with the little ones for their mother to return.

The fire department’s Facebook page shared pictures of a firefighter holding up one of the ducklings. They wrote, “All eight ducklings were successfully rescued from this storm drain thanks to Firefighter Mcguire and the crew of Engine 4.”

“The crew stuck around to make sure that the babies were reunited with their mom,” they added.

The comments section was filled with grateful remarks and praise from several members of the community.

One comment read, “Thank you all for your kind hearts,” while another person commented, “Thank you for the successful animal rescue!”

A third added, “Engine 4 is the hero of the bird world and bird lovers everywhere!”

Earlier this month, the same fire department also shared photos on their Facebook page after they rescued three dogs from a local house fire.

Meanwhile, in the Channel Islands of California, some eaglets needed extra help when they were knocked out of their nest. Luckily for the little ones, some ecologists were nearby.

The ecologists were studying bald eagle nests when they saw what happened and decided to help out. They made sure it was safe to briefly handle the baby bird first before placing them back into its nest.
