WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Tommy Pasquale, a patriotic man from New Jersey, accomplished a lifelong journey by walking nearly 3,000 miles from the Atlantic to the Pacific in 143 days. Pasquale’s goal was to raise awareness and funds for America’s homeless veterans, and he was able to raise almost $97,935 for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

He wore out 10 pairs of shoes and camped in a tent, stayed at motels, or with people he knew throughout the journey. Despite facing challenges such as being away from his family during holidays and encountering homeless problems in major cities, Pasquale pushed through, motivated by country music, Bruce Springsteen classics, and “The Will Cain Podcast.”

He also kept a copy of Teddy Roosevelt’s “The Man in the Arena” to stay motivated. Throughout his trip, he was able to make new friends and emphasized how generous Americans were across the country along his route. Now that he has completed his journey, he plans to write a book based on his journal entries.

Donations for veterans can still be made at GoFundMe and the Tommy Walks America info page at linktr.ee/tommy_pasquale.
