Kamerin Bazemore owns three adorable dogs.  One of them, a pug named Maggie, has gained popularity on TikTok because of a video showing her relationship with a statue that resembles her.

So far, the video has already been viewed more than a million times.

According to Kamerin, the pug likes eating, nibbling fingers, watching TV, laying on her back, playing with her tennis ball and sitting like a human.  But her favorite thing to do is spend time with her statue friend who resembles her.

This has been going on for as long as Maggie arrived at their home. She must have thought it was an animal friend since it showed no hostility when she approached it.

Stanley Coren, Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia and author of books like How To Speak Dog said that our canine friends have been “genetically manipulated” by humans over thousands of years to “show friendliness almost indiscriminately.”

Thus, Maggie’s friendship with the statue.

In the TikTok video of @the_squish_biscuit that has the TikTok world abuzz, Kamerin catches Maggie sitting beside the statue.  Maggie was startled by her arrival and turned to the camera. 

Kamerin asks Maggie: “Oh did I catch you with your statue friend? What are you doing?” Maggie seemingly answers by nodding to the statue.

When asked if she wanted to come inside, Maggie stays put with her unmoving friend.

TikTok viewers are going gaga over Maggie’s relationship with the statue! Tashluvz wrote: “My kind of friend… no expectations, good listener, just chill. Your dog is just a fellow introvert” and Logan H agrees: “He don’t talk much, but he’s a good listener.” Maliree added “I would chill with my statue too.”

Others adore cuteness. Emvygwen commented: “Awww that is super wholesome” with Glenda Salaver adding that it was “So cute.”

Some think that Maggie needs companions of her own kind.  Kamerin shares that Maggie has a sibling named Willow and they are “inseparable”.  Maggie is certainly not lonely.

Kamerin shared the video to bring out laughter when they see how funny it is. She said, “In a world of such negativity, a video of a pug is a welcome change and something wholesome.”
