• Thirteen-year-old Siberian husky, Hime, loves to nap and receive boops from passersby in her favorite nature spots.
• Her dad brings her to these spots as she has arthritis.

Sitting in a shaded spot surrounded by plants and patiently waiting for nose boops is 13-year-old Siberian husky Hime’s favorite pastime.

Hime, who’s been with her dad David Nagadhana since she was a puppy, hitches a ride on her dad’s bike trailer to get to the petting spots that she chooses. Her arthritis does not allow her to go on long walks now, thus her dad cycles for her. And the current favorite for the naps and boops is the Thames in Richmond, England.

Nagadhana said, “She loves finding new and interesting and exciting locations so that she may proceed to nap in them. She finds it relaxing enough to nod off on occasion.”

The gentle husky loves to relax in nature spots and watch the world go by together with her dad. She happily welcomes affection, especially boops from those who pass by and stop to pet her.  But the endless boops that her favorite person in the world, her dad, givess her, is still the best.

The two have been doing everything together and show no sign of stopping the bonding moments.

Nagadhana added, “She was there for me when life ground to a halt during the pandemic. I’ll be there for her until the end. Raising dogs is like a rainbow. Puppies are the joy at one end, old dogs are the treasure at the other.”
