These Adorable Blind Kittens are Looking for their Forever Home

When the RSPCA rescued two kittens from a construction site, they initially had no idea that they were brothers. Arthur and Gabriel were rescued at different times, after all. But upon realizing that they were indeed siblings, the staff quickly reunited them. Unfortunately, cat flu and other complications caused the poor kittens to go blind and have their eyes removed.

The brothers are now in need of a new home. Sadly, their blindness has turned off most potential adopters.

So, the RSPCA wants everyone to know that despite being blind, the adorable kittens are still typical kittens deserving of love.

Sophie Moran-Barker, the RSPCA Cat Hub’s rehoming coordinator, described the brothers as “adorable, friendly, and loving kittens, who, after all they have been through, really deserve to find themselves a special home.”

Sophie added that “being blind does not stop them from leading a full and exciting life!”

Despite having lost their sight, the kittens are quick to adapt to their surroundings. They have not lost their sense of curiosity, adventure, or affection, after all.

Arthur is described as the adventurous one who loves exploring, while Gabriel is the calm and cuddly one.

The brothers can also live with other friendly cats and will only need a few accommodations during the initial stage of getting to know their new environment. They simply need “an understanding and experienced” family who will accept and love them fully.

Sophie said, “They will need [someone] who will be able to spend time with the kittens and provide them with lots of toys and enrichment. Their new home will be strange to them at first and they will need to orientate themselves, so their feeding bowls, beds, and litter trays must always be in the same place, so they know where they are and can use them as a reference point so they can get around more easily.”

Arthur and Gabriel have waited some time now to find their forever home. We’re all hoping these adorable brothers won’t have to wait much longer.
