Prepare to fall head over heels in love with Phoebe, a brave little kitten. This lovely lady has cerebellar hypoplasia, a brain condition that causes balance and coordination problems. Phoebe’s mom posted a TikTok video to her account, @phoebethekitty, in which the lovely cat attempts to climb sofa steps for the first time.
She’s having trouble finding out how to climb onto the steps at first. Her condition makes her shaky, and it’s difficult for her to stand up, let alone climb the stairs. Phoebe, on the other hand, is clearly a tough cookie. To find out what happens, keep watching until the very end.
Her perseverance and diligence were rewarded!
TikTok is in awe of this cat’s determination to climb those steps.
“The first step is always the hardest,” said @Ruby, “and that’s why she went for the second step right away.”
@Tosha Brunner also commented: “I’m crying. SHE DID SO WELL!!! Good job, sweet girl ????.”
It’s safe to assume that everyone who saw this video was moved by it.
@Kim Williams added, “That little squeak at the beginning! ???? Awesome job, Phoebe!!! So proud of you!!”
This video should remind people that we can overcome hurdles and challenges if we have the willpower to persevere. Let us all remember Phoebe the next time we find ourselves thinking that we can’t do something.
