Cats have been incredible emotional support animals to humans.  But what do we get them when they need emotional support?  Others may get a sibling or companion while others provide a toy or a blanket.

One mom discovered that her toothless cat Nugget calms down when he has potatoes with him.  Yes, potatoes, the root crop.  She says that Nugget is absolutely crazy over potatoes and whatever works for Nuggets, she’ll indulge.

In one video which TikTok user @Toothless.Nugget captioned “he needs his emotional support to travel ok”, she puts two potatoes in Nugget’s carrier while her family watches and judges her.  But she insists that its effective in Nugget’s case.

She said that when she adopted Nugget, the senior cat was already at the shelter for around four months.  And that Nugget has already gone under the knife for nasal cancer and is toothless and deaf.

She doesn’t care anymore if she’s judged but whatever works for Nugget, then so be it.

Another user @Rochellegordon wrote, “Nugget reminds me of my old cat, her name was Tater and she was also partially toothless as well. She passed away last year and we miss her.” Aaawww!
