Residents of all ages had so much fun as the pre-historic parade brought the neighbors together. Participants and spectators still maintained a social distance of six feet (as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) while they were marching through the streets.
One of the “dinosaurs” even brought a ruler with them to ensure “strict” social distancing was being practiced. Participants marched around the block on South Pine Avenue on Sunday.
Some kids, who did not participate in the march, watched inside their cars but were also donning dinosaur costumes and holding signs: “I ♥ DINOS.”
In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, resident Stacy Meyer said: “A couple of friends and me wanted to do something just for the neighborhood while people are sort of experiencing the monotony of being socially isolated.”
“If anything, just to give parents and families a little bit of a break, some joy, something different in their lives today,” she added.
